Biostimulators and Radiesse Greenwood IN

Biostimulators

Biostimulators like Radiesse® can restore natural volume loss in the temples, cheeks, and jawline due to aging and create shape and volume through facial balancing, or even nonsurgical BBL contouring.

What are biostimulators?

Our biostimulator treatments use Radiesse® to stimulate your body to create its own collagen I & III as well as elastin. This treatment is an injectable but it is not a “filler”.

We dilute (hyperdilute) the Radiesse biostimulator down while capitalizing on the science to restore volume loss and the hollowing that occurs as we age.

Biostimulators can also help smooth out dimpling or cellulite as well as tighten stubborn areas of skin on the face and body. They also give the skin a glow by adding back hydration while recovering the skin’s elasticity and firmness.

What are the benefits of biostimulators?

At The SKN Lab, we use Radiesse which can help tighten skin, reduce cellulite, reduce crepiness, firm skin, and increase volume.

Where can I have biostimulators injected?

Biostimulators can be injected in:

  • face
  • neck
  • chest
  • hands
  • nonsurgical BBL (Brazilian butt lift)
  • buttocks
  • thighs
  • above the knee
  • cellulite

What do I need to know before my biostimulator treatment?

Before getting a hyperdilute Radiesse biostimulator treatment you should know there is a risk for bruising or swelling. Prior to your treatment you should avoid alcohol, blood thinning medications, ibuprofen, Advil, etc before treatment to reduce risk of bruising.

What is the aftercare for Radiesse like?

The benefit of Hyperdillute Radiesse is that it does not require daily massaging like Sculptra, another biostimulator, does.

Following a treatment you should avoid exercise for 48 hours to not increase swelling. Depending on the type of treatment you may need to avoid saunas, hot tubs, or steam rooms for 24-48 hours.

You may be directed to do a soft massage in the area treated. Your injector will give you detailed instructions prior to your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your body will continue to create collagen and elastin for several months following your treatment. It is recommended that you get a series of 1-3 treatments initially then maintain results through annual visits depending on desired outcomes.

Your hyperdilute Radiesse biostimulator treatments will be 6-8 weeks apart.

We love Radiesse (Hyperdillute Radiesse) because of the science behind it and expanded key benefits. Radiesse targets Collagen I & III, Elastin, Proteoglycans (glow & hydration), and Angiogenesis (sustainability of new tissue). Sculptra only targets Collagen I.

Additionally, you need less product with Radiesse and it does not require daily massaging to avoid nodules under the skin that can be permanent as required with Sculptra.

A BBL traditionally is referred to as a surgical procedure where fat is injected into the buttocks, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift. However we can use Radiesse to add volume and shape to your buttocks without surgery and the downtime.

A Radiesse BBL treatment is more subtle than what you would see with a traditional BBL, but nonetheless it is effective in filling in hip dips, smoothing out cellulite and adding lift where needed.
