Meet The Skn Lab Team

We’re on a mission to help you discover your best skin yet! Here at the SKN Lab, we strive for fulfillment and overall wellness, and we firmly believe that caring for the skin is a big part of that. Here’s the deal, our skin is always trying to talk to us – giving us an internal reading of our health and emotions. It turns out how we look on the outside is directly linked to how we feel on the inside!

That’s why we founded the SKN Lab, a safe space for clients to treat themselves with modern aesthetic medicine. When you’re sitting in the chair, you will be treated exactly as if you are our mother/sister/bestie because when you’re here, you’re family.

Hi, I'm Annie

I believe that glowing skin can help you radiate confidence, and it’s my life’s work to help you achieve that. Whenever a client comes into our office, we take the time to listen, understand their goals, and recommend a treatment plan that will ensure results.

Backing up my love of skincare with educational experience is crucial to me. I am a registered nurse with twelve years of experience. I hold a Laser Specialist Certification from Rocky Mountain Laser College and have completed Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler Training and Aesthetic Medical Education Training. I continue to educate myself on the latest research by attending conferences throughout the year and studying new innovations in the field.

When I am not helping others discover the best skin of their lives, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, five children/step-children, and our dogs, Molly and Bo. We are a very active family and love to watch our children compete in almost every sport imaginable, including gymnastics, baseball, football, soccer, wrestling, and basketball. You can also frequently find me running, reading, or attending Emmanuel Church with my loved ones.

We founded The SKN Lab based on the principle of integrity. Here, we only offer safe and effective services and ensure that our staff is expertly trained to administer them.

Having a comfortable space that radiates happy vibes is crucial. At the end of your treatment, we want you to feel like you just had a lunch date with your bestie at the chicest spot in town.

I have always had an appreciation for the medical field. I am a DNP (Nurse practitioner with a doctorate in nursing) with eleven years of experience, including in the NICU, ER, ICU, and aesthetics. I hold a Laser Specialist Certification from Rocky Mountain Laser College and completed numerous botulinum toxin and dermal filler training and certifications. Abbie has also received national recognition for her skills as an injector and educator.

I am happily married to the love of my life, and together, we have two beautiful children – Emmie and Cruz. Ironically, our family pet is a wrinkly English bulldog named Mac.

When I am not researching cutting-edge aesthetic tools, you can find me boating, camping, traveling, or hanging out with my Emmanuel Church family.

Hi, I’m Jenna

Jenna Gladish, Esthetician

A big part of why I wanted to pursue a career in esthetics is because I myself struggled with my skin from a young age. I had a lot of sun damage and I didn’t know how to treat it. So my interest in skin started out of necessity. I have family members that have worked in esthetics who love their career and that inspired me to take the leap and follow my passion. I love solving skin issues and restoring other people’s confidence so they can put their best foot forward without the hesitation of worrying about what their skin looks like.

I love being involved in the community. I have always lived in the Center Grove area, my family owns a local business that I have grown up working at and I look forward to continuing to serve my community from a different perspective.

Family is important to me, I have 2 sisters, we all work in the beauty industry in some facit, and are all extremely close.

When I am not working I love taking new classes on my Peloton, trying out new restaurants in the area, or spending hours going down Tik-Tok rabbit holes.

Sarah Whitaker, Esthetician

I got into esthetics and cosmetology 15 years ago because I love helping people feel confident. I am passionate about delivering results that in turn help people feel like the best version of themselves. I joined The SKN Lab because it is truly an environment made for growth and support both between staff members and clients as well. When our clients are happy and reaching their goals our staff is happy.

I have been working in salons since I was 18-years-old and have always been passionate about the beauty industry in general, working as an esthetician and a cosmetologist. I wear many hats and when I am not working in the esthetics office I am selling houses. I have been a licensed real estate agent for 2 years.

On the off chance that I have some down time, I love spending time with my husband and our two children. We are always running around from sport to sport and everywhere in between and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I live for vacations at the beach with my crazy family where we can spend uninterrupted quality time together.

I am an army veteran and occupational therapist who loves helping women feel empowered. I hope they will then use their gifts to empower others!

I am passionate about making others feel confident in their skin, which is why I started a mobile spray tan business. Determined to take my love of health and wellness to the next level, I returned to school and received my Health & Wellness Coaching certification from Vanderbilt University.

I look forward to helping guests of the SKN Lab glow from the inside out with nutrition and weight loss guidance and spray tan services!

When I am not studying the latest research in the wellness realm, you can find me at my home, which I fondly refer to as the zoo, hanging with my three children, three dogs, and a cat. I also love reading personal development books, running, and visiting the beach.

Hi, I'm Sierra

I am passionate about making women feel confident, which is why I am so excited to work with the SKN Lab, a brand that emphasizes empowerment. When we spend less time doubting ourselves, we have more time to run the world!

After working for years as a news reporter and anchor, I landed in the aesthetics industry. Constantly critiquing yourself on television leads you to seek out a good injector pretty quickly. Luckily, some of my sweetest friends were already in the business, and I am so thankful to work alongside them every day.

In college, I studied Broadcast Journalism and Fashion Design. I like to think that I use those skills daily to help design a thoughtful client experience that begins when you follow us on Instagram and continues as you walk through the door.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a beautiful baby boy, Jack, and a rotten Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Louis.

I love shopping for the latest fashion trends, styling my friends for special events, and going on walks with my family.

Dr. Emily Luerssen, Medical Director

Dr. Luerssen served in the U.S. Army and is now a board-certified emergency physician and cosmetic medicine specialist. She wants to help you reach your aesthetic goals by creating a unique rejuvenation strategy. Neuromodulators, dermal fillers, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, intense pulsed light, and laser hair removal are all available as treatment options.

Dr. Emily Luerssen has a wealth of expertise in treating patients and creating individualized treatment strategies. Emily aims to instill an inner sense of beauty in each of their clients.
