Emily Clevenger

Hi, I’m Emily

Aesthetic Nurse

My journey into aesthetics started long before I became a nurse. At 22 years old, I began working in a plastic surgery practice at the front desk, scheduling appointments, managing inventory, cleaning and preparing treatment rooms, and supporting providers however I could. I truly started from the ground up, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I had found the industry I was meant to be in.

As I gained experience, I began performing dermaplaning, chemical peels, laser hair removal, and micropigmentation, including scar camouflage. I loved every aspect of aesthetics and knew I wanted to expand my skills even further. That passion ultimately led me to nursing school so I could provide advanced treatments such as injectables and laser procedures.

I’ve had the privilege of training under plastic surgeons and working in aesthetics across Ohio, Kentucky, and now Indiana. Throughout my career, I’ve fallen more in love with this industry every year. Aesthetics simply clicked for me—it combines everything I love: science, artistry, problem-solving, and helping people feel confident in their own skin.

Creativity runs in my family. My father, aunt, and sister are all artists, and I often say that aesthetics is my art form. I enjoy creating balanced, natural-looking results that help my patients feel refreshed and confident while still looking like themselves.

I believe healthy skin comes first. Beautiful skin starts with healthy skin, which is why I’m passionate about skincare, prevention, and skin cancer awareness. I’ve been a dedicated user of SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic since it was introduced in 2005, and I love helping patients build skincare routines that support long-term skin health and aging gracefully.

I’m also passionate about wellness and believe that true beauty starts from within. Functional medicine, gut health, hormone health, and overall wellness are interests of mine because what happens inside the body is often reflected in the skin.

One of my favorite parts of this profession is building relationships with my patients. I’m honest, laid-back, and easy to talk to. I believe the best outcomes happen when patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns, goals, and motivations. Taking the time to truly connect allows me to create treatment plans that are personalized and meaningful.

My philosophy on aging is simple: aging is living, and that’s a beautiful thing. I don’t believe we should be afraid of getting older. Instead, I focus on helping my patients look and feel like the healthiest, most confident version of themselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading a good book, taking care of my many houseplants, and relaxing at home. I’m a proud boy mom to three grown sons, a stepmom to two daughters, and a self-proclaimed cat lady.

I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey toward healthier skin, greater confidence, and overall wellness.
